Walter Liebe is a third generation electrician and has been an entrepreneur for almost 30 years. He started his career in the family business in Regensburg, Germany, when he took over after his father’s death. The business, Elektro Liebe, included a retail store for a large variety of electrical appliances as well as electrical supplies; it also covered new electrical installation and repairs of existing wiring in residential as well as commercial buildings, both very old as well as modern. At an early age, Walter attained the qualifications of Master Electrician and proceeded to run the family business until 1991, fulfilling all management duties as well as doing a lot of hands-on work and overseeing over 20 apprentices during their educational and training periods to become electrician journeymen.
After the sale of his family business in 1991, he accepted the position of Assistant General Manager for the Mercedes-Benz dealership, Autohaus Gebhardt & Co in Regensburg, Germany. In 1999, Walter was promoted to be General Manager and became solely responsible for all management functions, including hiring and training employees, employee performance reviews, budgeting, marketing strategy, representation at seminars and car shows. He also implemented the ISO quality management system and set up the entire IT infrastructure at the company, starting with the actual wiring as well as the actual configuration of the desktop computers. He was also in charge of the maintenance and administration of the company’s IT system.
In January 2008, Walter Liebe founded Walter Liebe LLC At Your Service to fulfill his dream of starting another company in the USA, especially the East Bay in California which he has learned to love over the past decade during frequent visits with his sister who has lived in Oakland and then Berkeley, CA, since 1990. Walter has the motivation, ambition, and drive and prior extensive experience to make this undertaking highly successful.
In August 2008 Walter passed all exams and received his Contactors License from the State of California as a C-10 Electrial Contractor #921930.
